It was the day that changed everything. Hope was born in lowly manger thousands of years ago. In Bethlehem, the City of David, He who had long been prophesied, was born. Against impossible odds, Christ was conceived to a virgin, Mary. Her betrothed Joseph was told in a dream that the outrageous story Mary had told him was true, and he married her. When the baby was born, Joseph named him Jesus, as he had been instructed by the angel. Jesus, his life, death and ressurection had been predicted in over three hundred places in the Old Testament alone. The odds of all those prophecies coming true in the life of a man who himself claimed to actually be God, creates for me an iron clad case of its truth. God proved over and over by many miracles that he not only exists, but that he sent his Son on Christmas morning to rescue us from our sin. I am honored to serve as President Bush’s look-a-like, and as such, I get a lot of praise and thanks that are aimed at The President. I want to make sure that he knows that he is really loved out there. I want to also be sure that I am truly thankful to God, for all his blessings. I am thankful for the traditions of family and friends that get renewed year after year. I’m thankful that because of the time of year, I get the chance to tell my loved ones how I feel about them, without it seeming too Schmaltzy. I said recently in an interview that I love my job so much that I feel like every day is Christmas, and I’m Santa Clause, because I get to bring laughter and joy into any setting, and uplift and encourage individuals and audiences. I want to thank all of you who have ever laughed at me, with me, or for any reason because of me. Merry Christmas to my friends Dale and Theresa (Bill & Hillary Clinton), Patsy and Dave Gilbert(Sarah and Todd Palin), and Rod, my Obama Buddy, and my heroic manager Vince Wilcox, who is my best friend, co-author, and mentor. Thanks to my beloved wife Kathy (Laura Bush) Without her love, I’d be nothing but a weed.
