I had the privilege of speaking at the ministry of Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs this past Friday. It was indeed an honor to address and entertain this wonderful group of servants.
On the bill also was the band Rush of Fools, a group comprised of Worship Leaders. Their songs reflect their heart for Worship, and their skilled musicianship was a joy to experience.
My thanks to Dale Armstrong, his wife Becky, and their precious two sons, who treated Kathy and me to dinner, where I tried my very first Bison Burger! (Delicious!) I met Dale in Dallas. It was a seemingly chance (ordained by sovereign God) introduction at the top of an escalator in the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport that led ultimately to the invitation. Dale, thanks for the friendship.
Thanks to Jim Barnhart, who meticulously worked on the details of the trip until everything was perfect, hosted us while we were there, and also treated us to a delicious meal. Thank you Jim!
Thanks to Bill at the FOTF bookstore, where we did a book-signing after the appearance, for the smoothies when I was getting no break, (That was a very good thing!) and to Channel 5, the local NBC affiliate for covering my visit, and doing a very nice story.
Thanks to Bob and Ruthe, who took us sightseeing, and treated me to my second Bison Burger! What a blast it was to visit with you guys!
Thanks to my four volunteer "Secret Service Agents," who probably would never have offered had they known what they were getting into!
Thanks to all the staff at Focus, who work hard for people they may never meet, and to keep families strong in America. God Bless you guys, and the work you do!
